Our lives have been changed forever. Drew Preston Rupp was born at 8:54 PM.

Labor Log:

• 3:30 AM - Contractions began (Hope was sleeping on the couch because she was uncomfortable)
• 5:50 AM - Woke Ben and told him he wasn't going to work today
• 8:00 AM - Went to the hospital. Contractions were coming stronger and regular (Or so we thought) Dr. Daggs said that my contractions weren't regular at all and they were considering letting us go home.
• 9:30 AM - We were admitted
• 10:30 AM - Used the Jacuzzi tub and it worked great to ease some of the pain and relax Hope.
• 12:05 PM - Dr. Daggs broke the water
• 12:15 PM - Hope is getting worn out and requests some pain killers. The pain meds made her very relaxed. She took a nap and complained that the medicine made her face itchy
• 2:35 PM - Another Jacuzzi experience since the meds were wearing off
• 5:20 PM - Epidural was administered. The pain was getting too intense
• 7:00 PM - 7 cm dilated and 95% effaced
• 8:35 PM - Apparently Drew didn't want to come out. His heart beat would drop every time Hope had a contraction. Dr. Daggs ordered a C-section, STAT!!! Ben was given scrubs and Hope was wheeled into the operating room
• 8:54 PM - WELCOME, DREW PRESTON!!! 6 lb. 7.2 oz. 19.25 inches
• 8:54 - 9:30 PM - Tests for Drew and repairing mommy's insides
• 9:40 PM - Recovery Room
• 10:45 PM - Back to the room to visit with our guests (Sandy, Andy, Susie, Bob, Dave, Sue and Kelly)
• 11:30 PM - Drew went to the nursery and everyone else went home. Daddy went home to try and get a good night's rest
