July 30th, 2005 - August 6th, 2005
So we took Drew on his first vacation. We went to Ocean City, MD. The trip lasted 7 days, or 20% of his life so far. If I could only spend 205 of my life on vacation at the beach! So we left here Saturday July 31st with a car load. Kelly ended up following us down and took the stroller for us. Drew did really well on his first 4 hour car ride. We had to stop 1 time to feed him. Once we got to OCMD, we had to wait to get into the condo, so we walked on the beach. Once in the condo, we unpacked and spent the night bonding with Kelly.

Monday, August 1st
We took Drew to the beach today. For his first visit, we slopped some sunblock all over him. He wasn’t too happy with us. We put on his swim trunks that Auntie Kelly got him even though they were too big.
On the beach, he laid on the blanket and slept. We woke him up to take some pictures of him. We then put his feet in the sand. He seemed to like the feel of the sand. Since, the sand was a big success, we took him down to the water and put his feet in it. He did not like that at all.
Tuesday, August 2nd
Once again, the morning started off with a walk for Ben and Drew while Hope was catching up on some sleep.
When Ben got home from the walk, he was not feeling well, but wanted to go back to Seacrets with Hope, Drew, Kelly and Susie. The trip to Seacrets was short lived because Ben took a turn for the worse. We gave Ben some drugs and was not heard or seen until Wednesday morning. Hope went out to Seacrets with Vern(impulse trip) and Michele, along with Kelly and Mike. From he looks of things, it looks like they had a good time.
Wednesday, August 3rd
Ben still was not feeling well, so no morning walk. No beach trip for Ben, Hope or Drew either. For dinner, we took a trip to Lewes to visit Susie’s cousin Mark at his restaurant. Grandma and Grandpa wanted to stop at Rehoboth Beach to get some Kohr’s ice cream...since they worked their during their college days.
Thursday, August 4th
Ben was feeling better so he went to take pictures of the sunrise and then took Drew for another walk, but this time down coastal highway. Drew likes his walks. After Drew’s lunch, we took him back to the beach. He loved it. He just laid on Hope. Auntie Kelly stopped a scopes guy to take pictures of our little guy sporting his swim wear. We also took some pictures of his second trip to the water.
Friday, August 5th
Happy Birthday Vern!

We went down to the beach twice today since it was our last day. We had more pictures taken by the scopes guy. We also took more pictures of our own. Every time we went down to the beach Drew fell asleep and seemed to love the sounds. I am sure he can not wait to go back. Grandma wanted pizza for dinner, so we drove up to Bethany for some Grotto pizza.
Saturday, August 6th
What a ride home. It started with getting biscuits from Brass Balls(Big Peckers was sold out). When we got on our way around 10:30, things were going well. We stopped for lunch at Wendy's and this is where the fun began. After we ate, we warmed up a bottle for Drew. After he got done eating, he decided to puke on mommy's shirt. So, we went out to the car, Hope was in the middle of changing him and he pooped all over her hand. While Ben was laying on the floor in laughter, Hope got cleaned up and then put Drew back in his seat. (Don't worry, Hope got revenge...when we got home, Hope wrote on his forehead with a pen. Revenge is sweet.) Once we got back on the road, we then spent the next hour and half stuck in traffic. Because we had the delay, we had to stop and feed him again before we got back into PA. We finnaly made it home around 6:00pm.
All 3 of us had a wonderful time and want to thank Pret and Leone for taking the family.
