Nathan's 1st Birthday

It's hard to believe that Nathan is one year old all ready. It seems like just yesterday we were all at the hospital waiting on his arrival.

He did get a few presents on his birthday. Mom and Dad bought him some things to organize his room but they didn't wrap it because it was too big and heavy for him to open any way. He was insistent upon getting that car off of the top of the package.
Dad bought Nathan a little cake. Mom was hoping that he would make a mess just like I did. Nathan looked at the cake like it was a foreign object.

No way was he sticking his fingers in there. So, Mom gave him a spoon and he promptly destroyed the cake.

No, he wouldn't get his fingers too messy and he wouldn't eat it but he sure would stick it on his head.

Eventually, Mom stuck some icing on Nathan's nose just to see if she could get him any messier.

Oooohhhh, look! He's trying some!

No go! He thought that tasted horrible.

In the end, he was happy with his progress. The cake was destroyed and he wasn't too messy. He still had to get a bath to get the cake out of his hair.
