His first stop was the wood pile. He liked playing at the wood pile because there were a ton of dry leaves in front of it. Nathan loved the crunching sound that they made under his feet. He would stomp on them and then laugh.
Next, he saw some movement across the lane. Well, the movement came from a new animal. There was a horse. This was our first real encounter with this horse. Nathan was very brave. He and Mom took a walk over to the fence to see what was going on. Nathan was very curious to see what the horse was all about.
Our neighbor must have seen us out looking at our new friend. He brought us 2 halves of an apple to fee the horse. Mom fed the horse the first one and Nathan helped her with the second. That was a lot of fun. The horse ate right out of our palm.Nathan was feeling adventurous because he got a little closer. All the while, that horse was sniffing at his back.
Holy cow! Nathan touched the horsey nose all by himself.
Mom was amazed!
Here horsey!
I decided to get in on the action too. I don't think the horse wanted to eat the dried leaves. All of the animals were looking for green grass to eat.

Oh! This is ridiculously cute. It's always so neat to watch little ones interact with animals. Thanks for the smiles!
