Give a Day, Get a Day

On Mom and Dad's day off, the decided to Give a Day, Get a Disney Day. You may be thinking to yourself, "What does that mean?" Well, the Disney Theme Parks are encouraging people to get out in their community and help out. In exchange for their hard work, these volunteers each receive a 1-day, 1-theme park ticket to the Disneyland® Resort or Walt Disney World® Resort, free.

So, Mom and Dad headed to Reading, picked up G.G. Pa and Helen, and then drove to the Reading Food Bank. There, they worked for three hours packing boxes of food that would be shipped back out to the local food pantries.

G.G. Pa and Helen were working hard to pack those boxes full of yummy food.
After the boxes were packed, they had to load them on a palette to be placed in a storage area.
At the end of their three hours, Mom and Dad were tired and hungry. But, they made it and had a good time working to help others out. The entire experience was truly enlightening and worth the while.
