We got into the Animal Kingdom bright and early this morning because we were there for breakfast. It was great to walk around the park without bumping into anyone and take some pictures without having others' heads in our shots.
This hungry little snail was hanging out outside of Tusker house.
Nathan was so excited to see the characters at breakfast that morning that he didn't want to eat.
Finally! Goofy arrived at out table.
Mickey visited us too but for some reason, Nathan wasn't too thrilled about having him standing next to us.
Ms. Daisy is always so beautiful!
Goofy has a way of getting all of us to smile.
See what I mean???
After this, we decided to ride the Kilimanjaro Safaris. Nathan and I really like this ride because we get to see African animals in their "natural" environments.
A baby Rhino having it's morning milk.
Look at all the monkeys. Baloo and King Louie with Grammy and me.
Mom and Dad got a little free time and tried a ride that neither of them had ever been on before.
The first thing that you have to do is climb Mount Everest. Then, you do a few twists and turns through the mountain.
Oh goodness, the track has been ripped apart! They started their backward descent and ran into the Yeti in the mountain but somehow escaped and arrived safely back at the station.
While Mom and Dad were on their adventure, we got to listen to story time with Pocahontas. Pocahontas also had other friends with her too. Miss Bunny.
Terk was thirsty and took a few sips of our water.
Terk is a fun character and Mom really likes her.
Because Nathan and I are so adventurous, Helen got to try a few new rides on this trip as well. Nathan needed a riding partner for the TriceraTop Spin. Nathan got on this while Grammy and Mom took me on my first Kali River Rapids experience.
The rain was really rolling in that afternoon but that didn't keep us from waiting for the parade to roll by. The characters were all a little wet and the parade was moving a little faster than normal but we still got a few good pictures of some of our favorites.
After the parade, we headed out of the park. But, before we did, it was time to stop for another picture. We had to capture the memory of getting drenched in Animal Kingdom.
