Labor day Camping

This was our first camping trip as a family for the entire summer. Daddy was in Houston for a total of four weeks over the summer and we had a our Disney vacation. So, we didn't really have time to get the camper out at all.

Here are just a few pictures to highlight the fun that we had.

Nathan attempting to ride the big boy bike.  His feet didn't even touch the pedals but he did try really hard to get that thing moving.

Grandpa Bob came up to visit with us.  He brought Grammy, GG Pa and Helen with him too.  We all had a good time sitting around the campfire playing (and putting together Grammy's school materials).

Nathan and I got to try birch beer for the very first time.  We were fans!  The only reason we tried it is because we went on a hike the night before (with a park ranger) and she showed us the white birch tree.  If you fold a white birch leaf in half and then smell it, it has a very sweet smell and that is how they make birch beer.

Grammy brought a pirate craft for us to do.

Nathan shows us how to attach a Frito to our noses.  He's really good at it.
