We've seen all this Mickey stuff. Explored some of Hollywood Studios. Now, it's time to finally delve into some serious Disney antics. Oh, wait, we had to take some more pictures first.
We had breakfast at the boardwalk this morning and then Mom and Dad headed over to Fort Wilderness to drop the camper off.
The campsite wasn't ready yet. So, they met up with us back at the Magic Kingdom. I needed to get Mom, Dad, Grammy and Helen on Splash mountain and this was the perfect time to do it. We had great timing. Before our ride really started, we got soaked from another boat going down the big hill. We were drenched.
For lunch, we took a wet monorail ride to the Grand Floridian Cafe. They had great food and afterward, we checked out the Gingerbread house in the lobby.
Look at all of the ingredients that they used in this house! It's truly amazing to see. And, the back side of this house is actually a little shop. You could buy all sorts of gingerbread goodies.
And, the tree in the lobby of the Grand Floridian was something you could not miss...literally.
After lunch, Mom and Dad left us again. They had to head back and set up the camper so that we had somewhere to sleep that evening.
On their way back, they shot a picture of the gingerbread tree in the Contemporary.
And, the ingredients used for this one:
Our campsite was neat and clean. There were a few trees but not as many as we were used to and there was no fire ring. Another difference is that we parked our camper on a sand lot. Not something that we were used to but we would deal with it.
After the camper was ready to go, Mom and Dad rushed back over to the Magic Kingdom to watch the castle lighting. The Fairy Godmother uses her magical powers to light the castle in celebration of the holidays. It is so much better in person but since we can't afford to take everyone with us, hopefully these pictures will give you a good idea of what it looked like.
Daddy took this great picture that features the castle's reflection in the moat.
After the castle lighting, it was time to get in place for the Main Street Electrical parade. Nathan and I had had a rough couple of days with all of the traveling. We couldn't even keep our eyes open. So, Nathan took a nap on Mom's shoulder and I cuddled on her knee.
The electrical parade rolled through and Nathan and I had no clue.
Then, we headed back to our camper and had a peaceful night of sleep.
