Lets go Mom and Dad!

Now that Nathan and I had some idea of where were were going, we didn't want to sleep in too late. We had Mom and Dad up pretty early and we were down at breakfast before we knew it.

Before visiting Disney, we headed to Daytona.  We wanted to check out the race way.
The racetrack itself was huge.  I was very excited to know that we were going to check the place out.
Before we got to the front door, there were plaques in the sidewalk with hand and footprints.  The first one that I walked up to was Dale Jr.
Look at this cool mural on the wall.
The merchandise shop was the best.  We spent quite a lot of time in there looking at all the neat racing gear.
I think I picked up everything with Earnhardt's name on it and asked for my picture.

After a while, we were given the OK to get on with our tour.  Nathan and I each got our picture taken with our garage.  Mine is number 5 and Nathan's is number 2.

Victory lane was pretty neat too.  This is where all the celebrating takes place and we got to be in the center.  And, we had to do a little celebrating ourselves.
Look at these great skid marks left by one of the drivers.  VROOOOMMM!!!

This is a great picture of the new finish line.  There were work crews on the track as we took our tour because they are repaving the entire track.  The finish line had recently been painted back on and Tony Stewart came in to help.
One of our next stops was up in the sky box.  This was so neat to see.  Usually, this is where the press would sit to do their reporting. There is a great view of the track from here.
Our last stop was to take a look at Jamie McMurray's car.  Jamie won the Daytona 500 last year and a little tid bit about Daytona...they keep the car that wins the Daytona 500 every year and put it on display just like this one.  All the dirt and grime were still attached to the front bumper and you could see where champagne was splattered on the hood of the car.
This picture is for Uncle Tony...
Our next stop was at the All Star Sports Resort on Disney property.  Our campsite wasn't going to available until the following day so we spent a night here.
After we threw our stuff in our room, we headed out to Hollywood Studios to check out The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights.  I would really hate to see the electric bill for this set of lights.  These weren't just any lights.  These lights danced and changed colors every time the music played.  AMAZING!!!
Everywhere you looked...lights.
More lights!
After checking out the lights, we went back to All Star to crash for the night...but not without getting a few pictures.

Good night for now.  Get ready for some more adventures when we post the next blog entry.
