Time to decorate our house! Mom's job to put the tree together.
Nathan and I do our best to stay out of the way but we love to help.
After the tree was up, it didn't take us long to fall asleep.
The next day, we put the decorations on. We were really careful with the fragile decorations and we're proud to report that we didn't have one broken ornament this year.
Nathan found the Dopey doll that plays Jingle Bells and fell in love.
All of this Christmas decorating makes us tired. I can never stay awake for all of the fun. Nathan on the other hand, would keep going if he could.
On December 11, Nathan and I headed to Grammy's house to make gingerbread houses. We missed the craft day at Grammy's church because we were in Disney. So, Grammy had Regina's boys and Ally's 2 children over too.
There was plenty of candy for us to choose from.
I waited patiently for all the kids to arrive.
Joe built this cool tree out of lego candies.
Here is Nathan with his finished product.
And, mine...
December 18 was our day to go eat breakfast with Santa at the Tudor Grill. We were early so of course we had to take some pictures. I really liked this lollipop. I just wish that it were real.
We had quite a while to wait for breakfast. So, we had a great chat with Ms. Renee and Mr. Music.
Finally, some action. That Hershey Bar was standing at the window waving at us. That means that Santa isn't too far behind.
Hershey Bar brought Rudolph and Reese with him for breakfast. We ran outside quickly to get our pictures taken with them.
Back inside, we were the first table that HB visited. I think he likes us.
As breakfast got going, Hershey Bar and his friends had to leave. Nathan was not too happy about this and pouted as he watched them walk away.
The lovely chocolate was soon replaced by Mrs. Claus. She came by just to check and make sure that we were all being good this year.
Then, the big guy came and sat at our table. He told us that we needed to be good boys and he reminded us to leave milk and cookies on Christmas Eve.
After breakfast was over, Dad came by for a visit too. He always misses the good stuff. So, told him all about who we had seen and also let him eat some of our leftovers from breakfast.
That evening, we headed to Aunt Cindy's house to visit with Mommy's family. The group of kids is getting bigger and bigger lately and we had a good time. Aunt Cindy and Steve bought Nathan and the perfect gifts. We got fishing rods so that we can visit Bethany Beach and go fishing whenever we want.
Mom got her baby time in too. Baby Jordan wasn't feeling 100% but that didn't bother Mom. She took advantage of the situation and cuddled.
On Christmas Eve, we got a special treat. Aunt Veronica came to our house and helped us bake cookies. This was great quality time with our aunt.
While the cookies were baking, we read a few books. Thanks for visiting with us Veronica.
And, finally, Christmas morning. Nathan woke up first and really did not notice the presents under the tree. I got up shortly after him and took a shower. Then, it was time to open up the gifts.
Seriously, Dad? A CVS Truck PEZ dispenser. You really are addicted.
Ooooohhh! Santa got Nathan the candy corn that he had asked for.
After all the presents were opened, we hopped in the car and headed for Pop Pop's.
Santa left gifts for us there as well.
Then, we went to Grammy's. Surprise! There were gifts there too! Nathan got a Toy Story Sticker book.
I got a pirate ship ornament and many other things.
And, our cute little family by the big Christmas tree....wearing our Christmas Mickey shirts.
December 26 - Off to Granny's house! We were greeted by a groggy Veronica but she showed up bearing gifts. Well, not really gifts but fun stuff that we got to wear. Mommy donned the bright pink wig.
Uncle Tony got a quick perm. And somehow, Granny's bunny ears and Aunt Veronica's purple hair do avoided the pictures.
Nathan was happy with some new Hotwheels.
And, his new train track.
Aunt Veronica helped me put my pirate Legos together.
Luigi was being a good boy and hanging out under the tree.
Bella was being pretty good too and guarding the love seat.
After a great, filling turkey lunch, we hit the lanes. We bowled a few games and had some more family time with Aunt Veronica.
After our bowling trip, Aunt Veronica was headed to Pittsburgh. In Pittsburgh, she was picking up a friend and they were starting their trip across the United States. Aunt Veronica is moving to Las Vegas.
Whoa! Watch out Aunt Veronica! This time, next year, Haille will have you beat in height!
And, of course, a little Nathan loving never hurts.
Our last Christmas adventure was at Helen's house. We hadn't been over to see the monorail running around her tree yet.
While GG Pa and Helen prepared our ham dinner, I watched patiently.
After dinner, Regina brought Joe and Ben over to see the monorail too. Nathan and Ben checked it out pretty closely.
Here were all four of us crammed by the tree to see the monorail.
We had a wonderful Christmas but now it is time to relax and play with all of the wonderful gifts that we got. Thanks to all of you for a great holiday season!
