Our first day - Magic Kingdom

The big day was here. Mom and Dad had no problems getting me out of bed today. When Dad said "Drew, it's time to get up.", I shot straight up in bed. I knew where I was going today and I was ready.



There was an opening ceremony at the front gates of the Magic Kingdom and we were there ready to greet the characters. Nathan caught a lot of streamers during the opening ceremony.

Our first ride was Dumbo. The wait wasn't too bad because we rushed to the back end of the park to be one of the first people in line.

During our travels for breakfast, we met up with the Fairy God Mother from Cinderella. She was really nice and made sure that we got plenty of attention.

I wasn't quite sure who these ladies were but I'm apparently getting married to one of them. Mom tells me that this is Cinderella's evil step mother and her two daughters - Anastasia and Drisella. Mom will add the video at a later time. It truly is hilarious and these ladies played the part very well.

We went back to Saratoga Springs for a break that afternoon. I didn't make it through the entire bus ride.

Nathan did but quickly crashed on the couch.

Dinner that night was in the Crysal Palace. I met Pooh and all of his friends. I think that meeting the characters were one of my favorite events. I was sure to have my markers and autograph books ready.

Nathan didn't mind getting too close to Piglet.

Nighttime is a fun time in Disney. There are lots of parades and fireworks. This is part of the Spectromagic parade. There were lots of lights, music and characters.

Where's Mickey?

What plane are we riding? Where is Mickey? Are we there yet? Is this the airport?

Mom and Dad thought they were going to hear all of those questions out of me but I waited patiently at the airport.
I ran around, ate some lunch and even had some time to do a craft or two. This particular craft, I gave to the pilot on our plane and he let me check out the cockpit. There were a lot of buttons in there.

Aunt Kelly kept me occupied for a little while too. We watched everything that was going on outside at our plane.

Once we were in the air, we were allowed to take our seatbelts off. I switched places with Mom and stared out the window. We were way up high.

Mom and I had a fun time on the plane together.

After getting on the plane, we hopped on the Magical Express bus to go to Saratoga Springs.

They played a movie for our 30 minute drive. So, Nathan and I were content.

Saratoga Springs also had a television with movies playing. Nathan and I sat and watched while Grammy checked us in.

Once in the room, Nathan checked everything out for us.

There was a knock on the door and Grammy told me that I had to answer it. I thought that it might be Mickey but it ended up being a hotel staff person. He had a gift for me from Mickey.

It was hard for Daddy to contain his excitement.

So, we got him one of these drinks before dinner. This drink had an ice cube that changed colors and made it look really neat. Too bad I wasn't allowed to have any!

After dinner, we took a boat and headed to Downtown Disney!

It was getting late and we had a big day coming up. So, we hopped back on the boat and Daddy snapped this picture of Saratoga Springs at night.

Tomorrow...it's off to the Magic Kingdom.
